The Grunnvåg waterworks is a water supply system on the Island Senjain Troms in northern Norway supplying one home and one farm. Its source is a natural spring and a small dam which is built to hold the water and act as a reservoir during periods of high consumption. The water from the spring is of good quality, but the dam is responsible for contamination. In order to meet the present hygiene requirements, upgrading is needed.
In this exercise you will have a closer look on the design of the Grunnvåg system and discuss possible solution to upgrade it.
